As a Battery Testing & Validation Engineer (f/m/d), you are responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of various cells, battery and system tests. You will be an important team member in shaping tomorrow's mobile power supply and contributing in zero-emissions future by:
 

  • running standardized test cases for cells, battery and on system also.
  • performing and developing tests together with the team.
  • working closely with all domains, such as hardware, mechanical and software, to develop and optimize validation and test cases.
  • designing of new test methods.
  • developing testing procedures to ensure the reliability and performance of
    battery systems.
  • reviewing battery data and performing inspections to determine failures and root cause.
  • analyzing and presenting test results.
  • creating both detailed battery test reports and presentations.
  • supporting the optimization of Instagrid test facilities.
  • having analytic thinking and good communication skills.
  • helping the team to perform and innovate

Job requirements

  • You successfully completed a degree in electrical, electrochemical, mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Experience with testing and validating cells and battery modules and
    systems.
    • Experience with High Voltage Battery (AC and DC).
    • Experience in BMS (Battery Management System).
    • Experience in Battery Simulation/Modulation.
  • Battery test facility for testing small and large size battery cells up to battery systems. Battery aging: calendric and cyclic.
  • Validation of technical and functional safety. Recognize the risk of cell/battery development and production. Strong data analysis experience: ability to analyze raw data and create validation and test reports.
  • Strong organization skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously.
  • Expertise in battery standards and testing proceduresKnowledge in Battery Safety instructions and rules. Knowledge in Electrical field.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Effectively communicate and work cross-functionally with all disciplines. You speak English on a professional level, German skills would be a plus.
