What awaits you

Instagrid is at the forefront of the clean-tech revolution, replacing diesel generators with the world's most advanced mobile energy systems. As a Customer Success Manager covering Austria, you will be the face of Instagrid for our professional customers - building lasting relationships, driving product adoption, and ensuring every customer gets the full value of switching to clean, portable power.

This is a field-first role. You will spend four out of five days a week visiting customers at their sites - construction sites, trade depots, industrial facilities - so a full, clean driving licence and comfort behind the wheel of a company vehicle are essential. Candidates based in or around Northern Austria, are strongly preferred given the regional customer base.

Your mission

As a Customer Success Manager at Instagrid, you are responsible for ensuring that customers gain maximum value from our portable power solutions. You serve as the primary point of contact after the sale, driving adoption, satisfaction, and long‑term retention. Success in this role requires building strong customer relationships, proactively resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for growth. You also play a key role in connecting sales, product, and customers to continuously enhance the overall customer experience.

Your Impact

  • Own the post-sale customer relationship from onboarding through to renewal and growth — acting as the primary point of contact for your portfolio of accounts

  • Spend the majority of your working week on the road, visiting customers at their sites to support adoption, resolve issues, and strengthen partnerships

  • Guide customers through product set-up and help them get the most from their Instagrid systems, reducing reliance on combustion generators

  • Monitor customer health metrics and act early to address risks, prevent churn, and keep satisfaction high

  • Identify and progress upselling and cross-selling opportunities in close collaboration with the sales team

  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, demonstrating value and aligning on shared goals

  • Gather customer feedback and relay actionable insights to the Product and Engineering teams

  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively

  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date at all times

What you bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a similar customer-facing role — ideally within technical, industrial, or capital equipment sectors; experience working with Austrian trades or industrial customers is a strong advantage

  • A full, clean driving licence this role involves regular travel to customer sites four to five days per week across Austria

  • Comfortable and confident driving a company-provided electric vehicle as your primary mode of work travel

  • Based in Northern Austria, or willing to relocate — proximity to the regional customer base is important

  • Business-fluent in German (written and spoken) and English

  • Strong communication skills - you can adapt your style from a site manager on a building project to a procurement director in a head office

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment

  • A proactive, solutions-first mindset - you spot problems before customers do and come prepared with answers

  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)

  • High degree of self-reliance and accountability - you manage your own diary and deliver without close supervision

Your benefits

  • Competitive base salary with a performance-related variable component and overachievement bonus

  • Company electric vehicle provided for business and private use, including weekends

  • Flexible working and remote working options when not on the road

  • 30 days' annual leave plus 5 additional days for special occasions

  • MacBook or Windows laptop, plus an Apple smartphone provided

  • The opportunity to join a category-leading clean-tech company at an exciting stage of growth
