What awaits you

At Instagrid, you are part of the clean-tech revolution by bringing pure energy into your region, helping professional workers transitioning away from combustion generators and making it possible for them to experience a safe, efficient, clean and silent energy solution.

Your mission

As Head of Group Accounting & Finance Transformation, your mission is to build and continuously evolve the financial backbone of our company. You scale the finance organization in line with a business growing rapidly in revenue, geographic footprint, and operational complexity.

You take ownership of all aspects of financial reporting, ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and safeguard the integrity and reliability of the company's financial data.

However, this role goes far beyond traditional accounting leadership. We are specifically looking for someone who is passionate about automation, AI-driven finance transformation, and building scalable, technology-enabled finance operations - a strong technical accountant alone will not be sufficient for the challenges and ambitions of this position.

You enjoy challenging existing processes, leveraging modern finance technologies, and identifying opportunities where automation, AI, and smart systems can fundamentally improve efficiency, data quality, decision-making, and scalability across the finance organization.

The opportunity

  • Direct partnership with CFO and Founder CEOs - high ownership from day one

  • Opportunity to fundamentally shape and modernize the finance organization

  • Real impact on company growth, scalability, and operational excellence

  • Entrepreneurial environment with a strong focus on automation, AI, and future-ready finance

  • Fast decision-making, broad responsibility, and significant room to shape the role

Your Impact

  • Overall leadership and people management for Accounting, Finance Operations, Treasury, and adjacent finance processes

  • Lead and develop the Accounting team with a strong focus on accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting

  • Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB (where applicable), and other regulatory requirements

  • Continuously strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth audit execution

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage financial and accounting-related risks

  • Act as a key driver of finance transformation, automation, and AI adoption across accounting and finance processes

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows, streamline reporting structures, and improve scalability through technology

  • Evaluate, implement, and continuously optimize finance systems, tooling, and AI-supported solutions

  • Challenge existing processes and leverage modern finance technologies

  • Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to align the finance organization with broader business objectives

  • Build and develop a high-performing finance organization with a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

  • Support and oversee tax-related topics where required while keeping the primary focus on accounting excellence, scalability, systems, and finance transformation

What you bring

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with several years of progressive experience in international, multi-entity environments

  • Proven track record in driving automation, AI, or systems implementation within Finance

  • Strong curiosity for emerging technologies and the ability to translate them into scalable operational improvements

  • Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a strong focus on execution and business impact

  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-moving growth environment

  • Structured way of working with the ability to prioritize effectively in evolving envirnonments

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to position Finance as a strategic business partner

  • Fluent in German and English (company language is English)

  • Experience in engineering, industrial, or manufacturing environments is an advantage - willingness to be on-site in Ludwigsburg / Stuttgart regularly

Your benefits

  • Flexible work schedule

  • 30 vacation days plus 5 special leave days and 5 baby leave days

  • Urban Sports Club membership subsidy

  • Discounts on sustainable online shops

  • Join a company at the forefront of innovation

  • Free choice of operating system (MacOS or Windows)
